Who is behind Story Treasure?

Story Treasure was founded by celebrity journalist Annette Dasey who, during her 22-year career, has interviewed thousands of stars and newsmakers but is drawn to the tales of everyday people: your grandparents who fled a war-torn country, your wise mother who raised three children while running a business with your dad, your stoic uncle who almost lost the family farm during drought, your flamboyant aunt who ventured the world solo in the 1960s, your grandma who wants to preserve the memories she is losing. You. These are the stories that change the world. They are your stories.

Annette was inspired to found Story Treasure after the sudden deaths of her mother Judy and brother Patrick followed by the loss of her father Max. She wasn’t able to capture their stories and feels a deep sadness about the absence of their memories, history and knowing that have shaped her, her brother Ben, and her two young daughters. Realising firsthand the importance of family experiences and how they influence our and our children’s lives and personalities, Annette wants to capture people’s stories to preserve the meaning of their existence and help their loved ones better understand them and themselves.
